COM-FIT is short for Combat Fitness. This program is inspired by military and competitive athletic endeavors such as football, basketball, boxing, powerlifting etc….. Each one hour session is intense and focused on a specific body part or parts, speed and agility, core strength development or endurance. COM-FIT is not for the faint of heart. It is intense and the results are worth every drop of sweat you will lose in the process of finding the new you!
COM-FIT is a high energy complete body workout consisting of several types of highly effective fitness training principles.
Plyometric Training is designed to produce explosive and powerful movements. Plyometrics is used in KRAV MAGA to increase the speed or force of muscular contractions with the goal of producing morepowerful and explosive punches and kicks.
Core training, is designed to produce a strong and dynamic well balanced core of the body. The core is made up of several muscle groups including the abdominals, oblique’s, lumbar, gluteus maximus, pelvic floor muscles, hips, neck and lower back. a strong core is important for good balance and coordination.
Ballistic training or power training uses the weight of the body to recruit and trigger fast twitch muscle fibers. ballistic training forces the muscles to explode very quickly with great force followed by zero resistance insuring 100% muscle output.
Aerobic conditioning is designed for the body to be able to improve its oxygen consumption by allowing the cardio respiratory system to use the maximum amount of oxygen during exercise.
COM-FIT incorporates all of these training principles through the use of kettle bells, resistance bands, bag training, stabilization and balance exercises to produce a complete full body workout.
